BRODIE, Benjamin Pitcher, physician and surgeon; born, Detroit, Apr. 6, 1859; son of William and Jane (Whitfield) Brodie; educated in public schools of Detroit; A.B., University of Michigan, 1882; M.D., Michigan College of Medicine, 1884; married in Washington, D. C., Nov. 14, 1907, Mrs. Anne Tallent Tubbs. Has engaged in practice in Detroit since 1884; member staffs of Harper Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, Women's Hospital, Infants' Home and the Solvay General Hospital; chief surgeon Detroit United Railway; formerly surgeon Detroit Fire Department. Democrat. Episcopalian. Member Wayne County and Michigan State Medical societies, American Medical Association. Clubs: Detroit, Yondotega, University, Country, Detroit Boat, Harmonie Society. Recreation: Life in the country. Office: 408 Washington Arcade.
