BREDIN, Charles H., manufacturer; born, Butler, Pa., Nov. 3, 1866; son of James and Matilda Elizabeth (Spear) Bredin; three generations of lawyers and judges in the family in the United States; educated at St. Paul's School, Concord, N. H.; married, 1892, at Los Angeles, Cal., Margaret Grace Leonard, of Piqua, O.; two children: Elizabeth Spear, Lewis Leonard. Studied law with his father at Pittsburgh, Pa., and practiced law for two years; with Leonard Daniels Linseed Oil Co., Piqua, O., two years; entered manufacturing business in Detroit, 1897; now president and general manager Chamberlin Metal Weather Strip Co., having twenty branches in various parts of the country; also president Bredin Realty Co. Democrat. Episcopalian. Member Detroit Board of Commerce, Wholesale and Manufacturing Association. Mason, K. T. Clubs: Detroit Athletic, Bloomfield Hills Country, Detroit Golf, Detroit Tennis.
