BOWER, Seymour, general superintendent Michigan Fish Commission; born, Clarkston, Mich., Apr. 3, 1855; son of Charles and Margaret (Spencer) Bower; educated in public schools of Oakland Co., Mich.; married at Deerfield, Mich., Oct. 12, 1880, Exene M. Taft; children: Ward T., Ethel G., Harold S. Engaged in drug business at Clarkston and elsewhere, 1873-80; was connected with United States Fish Commission, 1880-93; general superintendent of the Michigan Fish Commission since 1893. Secretary American Fisheries Society, 1899-1901, and president, 1909-10; president Village of Northville, Mich., for two years, 1885-86. Republican. Member Masonic order, Knights Templar. Recreation: outdoor sports. Office: 607 Stevens Bldg. Residence: 348 Garland Ave.
