BOWER, Joseph Augustus, assistant secretary Detroit Trust Co.; born, Denver, Sept. 2, 1880; son of William Alexander and Sarah Ann (Berry) Bierbower; educated in Detroit schools to High School, then Detroit University School; married, Aug. 23, 1906 Emma Anna Wuelfing, of Detroit; two children: Phyllis, Robert. Began in real estate business, continuing three years; entered employ of Detroit Trust Co. as clerk, 1902, and was made assistant secretary, 1908; general manager Standard Foundry Co.; director A. F. Bartlett Co. Member Michigan National Guard, 1902; was sent by state to Sea Girt, N. J., to compete for world's championship in marksmanship. Republican. Catholic. Club: Detroit Athletic. Recreation: water sports. Office: Penobscot Bldg. Residence: 2061 W. Grand Boulevard.
