BOUR, Kendrick Martin, coffees and teas; born, Toledo, O., Feb. 9, 1888; son of John M. and Carrie A. (Kendrick) Bour; educated in public schools, Toledo; student Michigan Military Academy, Orchard Lake, Mich., two years; unmarried. Began active career in employ of J. M. Bour & Co., coffees and teas, Toledo, 1908; came to Detroit and took charge of coffee and tea department of Peter Smith & Sons, 1910; business was separated 1911, and the coffee and tea department was organized as the Royal Valley Coffee Co., of which he was vice president and manager; purchased J. Henry Smith's interest in the Royal Valley Coffee Co., Dec. 4, 1913, now president and general manager of the company. Presbyterian. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Clubs: Rotary, Detroit Athletic, Walkerville Country (Walkerville, Ont.). Recreation: tennis. Office: 124-132 Lamed St. W. Residence: 398 Jefferson Ave.
