BORGMAN, Henry P., banking; born, Detroit, Mar. 13, 1865; son of Charles H. and Pauline (Purlier) Borgman; educated in public schools, 1871-74, German American Seminary, 1874-80, Goldsmith's Business College, 1880-81; married at Detroit, Nov. 20, 1889, Anna Kremer; children: Harold H., Mason W., Paul G., Helen K., John F. Left school to become clerk in law office, continuing for three months; was bookkeeper for Robinson Bros., wholesale liquors, for three years, then worked at carpenter trade three months, at the end of which time returned to office employment; after an experience of one year in insurance office, became connected with State Savings Bank, June 20, 1885; cashier of the savings department, State Savings Bank, and of savings department of its successor, Peoples State Bank; also secretary and treasurer McLaughlin Bros. Real Estate Co.; vice president Bartle (Cuba) Development Co., Springwells Brick Co.; treasurer St. Clair Heights Syndicate, Ltd., Grosse Ile Bridge Co. Served for six years in Michigan National Guard. Clubs: Bankers, Detroit Yacht, Harmonie Society. Office: the Peoples State Bank. Residence: 30 Edison Ave. W.
