(both of English descent); educated public and high schools, Niles; unmarried. Began active career at Niles, collecting
for the electric lighting plant of the city, continuing two years; then city salesman for Smith Kirk Candy Co.,
at Toledo, three and one half years; returned to Niles and was traveling salesman for Levitt Millory Co., wholesale
groceries, traveling in Ohio and Pennsylvania, one year; removed to Detroit and was employed as tire adjuster for
the Michelin Tire Co., and later manager Detroit branch of the company; became connected with the Jackson Automobile
Co. as salesman, and has been manager of sales, state of Michigan, for this company since Oct., 1913. Republican.
Protestant. Member Detroit Automobile Dealers' Association. Club: Wolverine Automobile. Recreation: outdoor sports.
