BLAESSER, Clarence Ernest, auto accessories; born, Granville, Ia., July 14, 1884; son of Charles and Regina (Schmidt) Blaesser; educated public schools, Cherokee, Ia.; married, Nov. 29, 1911, Loretta Marentette, of Detroit; one daughter, Angela Marie. Began active career as clerk passenger ticket office, Illinois Central R. R., Cherokee, Ia., 1903, continuing two years; in city ticket office, Northern Pacific R. R., Spokane, Wash., 1905-6; removed to Detroit, and was bookkeeper Art Stove Co., 1906-9; entered employ of Joseph N. Smith Co., 1909, becoming secretary and treasurer, 1913. Republican. Catholic. Member Detroit Board of Commerce, Detroit Credit Men's Association. Recreation: automobiling. Office: corner 4th Ave. and Porter St. Residence: 850 Lafayette Boul.
