(Newkirk) Birdsall; descended from English and Dutch ancestry; student College of City of New York, 1881-82; M.E., Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, N. J., 1886; married, June 22, 1892, Louise B. Banker, of New York; children: Beatrice and Mildred. Engineer and electrician Edison Electric Light Co., New York, 1887-92; consulting electrical engineer, New York, 1892-1903; built first electric street railway in Buenos Aires, S. A.; located in Detroit, 1910. A founder, 1904, Society of Automobile Engineers, and president Detroit section same, 1911-13; member Delta Kappa Epsilon, Detroit Board of Commerce. Clubs: New York Athletic, Detroit Motor Boat, Detroit Athletic. Recreations: yachting, automobiling. Office: 708 Ford Bldg. Residence: 139 Pallister Ave.
