Western Reserve College, Hudson, O.; University of Michigan; married, Feb. 22, 1910, Anne Davenport Shearer, of
New York. Left university, 1881, to engage in railroad engineering in Rocky Mountains; secretary, Lufkin Rule Co.,
Cleveland, 188384; on account of ill health went to California, 1884; began traveling for Michigan Bolt & Nut
Works, 1887, and elected secretary of that company, 1897; resigned, 1907, and went with the Upson Nut Co., Cleveland;
returned to Michigan Bolt & Nut Works as general manager, Jan. 1, 1911. Member Detroit Board of Commerce, Employers'
Association of Detroit. Trustee Lake Erie College, Painesville, 1907-9. Congregationalist. Member Detroit Engineering
Society, Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Member Corththian Lodge No. 241, F. & A. M. Clubs: University, Detroit
