BELANGER, Joseph Theodore, lawyer; born, Detroit, Aug. 18, 1877; son of Joseph and Madeleine Askin (Peltier) Belanger; educated at Miss Thompson's Private School for Boys and Girls, Detroit, 1884-89; University of Detroit, 1889-96; B.A., 1896; M.A., 1899; Detroit College of Law, 1896-99; LL.B., 1899; married, June 24, 1908, Marie Allan Ross, of Detroit; two children: Marie Ross and Elisabeth Madeleine. Entered law office of John W. Beaumont, Detroit, in Sept., 1897, as a student, continuing three years; has since practiced alone; appointed, 1905, resident vice president for Michigan of the American Bonding Company of Baltimore; vice president R. A. Carmichael & Co., manufacturing chemists and perfumers, Detroit. Repnblican. Roman Catholic. Member Association Bar City of Detroit, Lawyers' Club. Member Knights of Columbus.
