Taught district school, 1888-89; superintendent schools, Dansville, Mich., 1893; Highland Park, 1893-1903; practiced in Detroit since 1907; corporation counsel of Village of Highland Park, 1908-9. President Stephenson Trebein Co.; vice president Oakview Cemetery Association; director Roseland Realty Co. Member Lawyers' Club, Detroit Board of Commerce. President Wayne County Teachers' Association, 1896-98. Republican. Episcopalian. Mason, K. T., Shriner. Recreations: fishing, interested in civic affairs. Office: 812-813 Hammond Bldg., Detroit.
