BAILEY, Walter Starr, automobile accessories; born, Lansing, Mich., June 12, 1865; son of Rufus A. and Sarah J. (Richardson) Bailey; family settled in Ingham Co., Mich., sixty years ago; educated in Lansing public schools; married, May 27, 1891, Lena M. Cheney, of Charlotte, Mich.; one son, Donald A. Engaged for twelve years in boot and shoe business in Lansing; then in merchant tailoring business for five years; came to Detroit and associated with The Bailey Statuary Co., 1901; with Bailey Automobile Livery Co., 1909; organized, 1911, with John D. Vivian, the Punctureless Tire Co. of Michigan; director The Bailey Cobalt Mines. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Democrat. Congregationalist. Member Knights of Pythias. Recreation: fishing. Office: 1195 Woodward Ave. Residence: 127 Philadelphia Ave. E.
