Vt.; one son: Berton Allen, Jr. Entered railway service with Central Vermont R. R. April 1, 1889; appointed clerk
in office of purchasing agent, Rutland R. R., April 1, 1899; later chief clerk, assistant storekeeper and on Feb.
1, 1905, was made purchasing agent; resigned July 1, 1912, to become purchasing agent Michigan Central Railway;
also general tie agent same road, and the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern, Lake Erie & Western, Lake . Erie,
Alliance & Wheeling, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago & St. Louis, Peoria & Eastern, . Cincinnati Northern,
Toledo & o Central, Zanesville & Western and Chicago, Indiana & Southern roads. Protestant. Mason (Knight
Templar and Shriner). Club: Detroit Transportation. Office: Michigan Central R. R. Co. Residence: 65 Marston Ct.
