WILLIAM ARTHUR WOOD, of London, was born in Milan, Monroe county, Mich., December 30, 1865. His mother died
when he was six years old. When he was ten years old he began working out by the month and saving his earnings.
When 15 years old he was owner of a team and tools. June 10, 1885, he married Jane Pool, of Milan, Mich. She was
born in Dundee, Monroe county, October 8, 1861. After his marriage they took the Bently farm to work for one year,
and then the Buntz farm; then moved on the farm known as the Baber farm, renting it for a number of years. One
child has been born to them: Edna, born January 29, 1887.
