JOHN C. WILSON was born January 6, 1850, in New York State. Came west with his parents, who settled at Ann Arbor, Mich., where they remained one year, when they purchased a farm of eighty acres at Milan, on section seven. June 30, 1873. he married Maria McCardy, of Ann Arbor. Mr. Wilson engaged in the grocery business at Ann Arbor until April 28, 1886, when his store was destroyed by fire. In the fall of 1886 he returned to Milan, and with his sister engaged in photography, and is now one of the leading photographers in that place. February 1, 1886, his wife died, leaving five children to his care. Mr. Wilson is a member of the Knights of Maccabees, of Milan, Champion Tent, No. 424.
