FOWLER McDOWELL was born at Williams Center, Williams county, O., in 1844. Enlisted at Toledo in the early part of 1865 in Co. A, 189th O. V. I., and served nine months; was mustered out at Nashville, Tenn., and discharged at Columbus, O., Sept. 28, 1865. He was married in 1869 to Mary Divert, of Williams county, O., by whom he has five sons and two daughters. Came to this county in 1871, located in the town of Whiteford; now owns 56 acres of land on which he resides.
