PETER JACOBS, son of Dominick and Catherine Jacobs, was born August 10, 1850, in the town of Erie, at what was
then known as the Bay Settlement. He was married in 1885 to Miss Alice Gaunier, daughter of Dominick and Elizabeth
Gauther, of Erie township. He was chosen to the office of magistrate in 1881, and scrved three years, and again
by re-election in 1887, now holding the office. By trade a carpenter and joiner. Postoffice address, Erie. Monroe
county. Himself and wife are members of St. Joseph's Church.
