DANIEL WASHINGTON HUNTER was born February 22, 1882. Daniel remained at home until 21 years of age. He learned
his father trade, that of Carpenter and joiner. He went to Cleveland, where he worked at his trade four's years,
when he went to Kelley's Island, where he was employed by the United States Government to survey the islands of
Lake Erie. Mr. Hunter was twice married. His first wife was Elizabeth Taylor. To them four children were born.
His second wife, Eva Fisher, was born at Maumee, Ohio. in 1838, and was married March 6, 1881. In 1887 Mr. Hunter
came to Milan, and is a member of the M. E. church of that village.
