THOMAS CARRUTH, of Milan, was born at Marlborough, Mass., in 1849. His parents died when he was very young.
When 14 years of age learned the blacksmith trade, and soon after shipped as cabin boy on a vessel bound for Liverpool,
remaining in England four years. In 1868 he returned to America. In 1883 he came to Michigan and began blacksmithing,
and the past two years has been engaged in the stave business. Address, Milan, Michigan.
