JOB BURNAP, a retired farmer of Milan, was born at Charleston, Montgomery county, N. Y., November 6, 1816. Mr.
Burnap was married three times; married his first wife when 23 years of age, and settled in Chenango, N. Y. Three
years later was elected postmaster under William Henry Harrison, for German, N. Y. In 1849 be married his second
wife. Olive Spencer, of Cherry Valley, Otsego county, N. Y. By this marriage ten children were born. January 10,
1864, Olive, his second wife, died at the age of 43. He married for his third wife. Mrs. Rebecca Johnson, February
18,1865, of Ash, Monroe county, Mich., who died in 1880, at the age of 59. He was again married January 25, 1881,
with Mrs. Mary A. Gilmore, of Graf. ton, Mich., where they remained until 1885, when they moved to Milan, where
they own a farm of 240 acres. Mr. Burnap has held many offices of trust. Is always ready to aid the needy.
