Blandin, George C., was born in Taunton in 1852, a son of Capt. S. G. and Caroline French Blaudin. His father
was a tailor and worked at his trade in Taunton. Mr. Blandin started out in life for himself when only eighteen
years of age. His first employment was with Eastman & Co.'s Express business, where he remained six years;
afterwards with the Adams Express Co., as messenger on the N. Y., N. H. & H. Railroad; later as agent at New
Britain, Conn.. for three years; and for nine years was in charge of the N. Y. & Boston Express Company's office
in Fall River. In 1892 he came to Dighton as bookkeeper for the Century Stove Co. In 1881 Mr. Blandin married Fannie
Presbrey, and they have one daughter, Maud P. Mr. Blandin is a member of several orders.
