Almy, Giles Pardon, son of Giles and Aeria (Slocum) Almy, was born in the town of Dartmouth. Bristol county,
Mass., December 14, 1856. His parents were natives of Dartmouth and his father died when he was but two weeks old.
Mr. Almy was educated in the common schools of his native town and at an early age was thrown on his own resources.
