Thomas J. Sossomen, son of David and Elizabeth (Savidge) Sossomen, was born in this county in 1846, and is of
Dutch descent. his parents, now living in Mishawaka, are natives of Pennsylvania, and came to this county about
1840. In 1874 Mr. S. was married to Salinda Shearer, a native of Indiana, and is now the mother of 2 children,
Harvey and Harlow. He and his wife are members of the Dunkard Church. Politically, he is a Republican.
