Adam Smick was born in Stark county, O., April 17, 1828. His parents, Solomon and Mary A. Smick, were natives
of Pennsylvania; he was reared on a farm and educated in the common schools of the country. He came to this county
in the spring of 1854, and settled in Liberty tp., where he still resides. He was married in 1853 to Elizabeth
A. Blake, by whom he has had 5 children; of these, 3 are living, viz.: Mary J. (wife of Joseph Ollery), Sarah E.
wife of Geo. Bennett), and Elizabeth E. In 1856 Mr. S. married Miss Rebecca Steel, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth
Steel.
