George M. Lay, a native of La Salle County. Ill., was born May 26, 1858. He was educated in the common schools,
and is a son of Solomon and Elizabeth (Morrison) Lay, who came to this county about 1854. He is at present engaged
in farming, and is the owner of 160 acres of good land.
