JOHN G. PUSHECK, farmer, Section 16, Township 39, Range 12, P. 0. Proviso, was born in Prussia September 29, 1835. In September, 1839, his father, Christian, immigrated to Illinois, and resided in Lyons Township, Cook County, up to when he moved to Prosivo Township, locating on the farm. John G. assisted his father in conducting the farm up to 1861, when his father died. and he has since followed agricultural pursuits on his own account. He has a very doe place consisting of 200 acres, highly improved, and a beautiful home. He is an extensive grain farmer and ouses considerable stock. Mr. Pusheck was one of the organizers of tire Evangelical Lutheran Church here, and was for several years trustee of the same, He served one term as Overseer of Roads, and has for the past three years been director of district school. lie was married here, July 6, 1856, to Mary Steinal; this union has been blessed with eleven children, ten of whom are now living.
