E. W. OLCOTT, dentist, was born in Albion, Orleans Co., N. Y., in 1848, son of Luman P. aod Mary E. Olcott.
He came to Chicago in 1871. where he commenced the study of dentistry with Dr. J. S. Marsh. lIe remained with him
two years. In 1871-72 he took two courses of lectures at Rush Medical College, of Chicago. In 1873 he commenced
practice in Wauconda, Lake Co., Ill. In 1877 he located at Palatine. His office is on Brockway Street, over Schirding's
store. He has a large practice. His business has increased from the first. lie was married in 1873 to Miss Alice
Cady, daughter of J. C. and Lanora Cady; they have two children-Mabel born in August, 1874, and Harry L., in April,
1877. He is a member of the A. F. & A. M. He owns a residence in Palatine.
