HENRY L. McKALLOR, with the Western Bank Note & Engraving Company, Chicago, was born in Argyle, Washington
Co., N. Y., June 9, 1830, and was reared on a farm At the age of nineteen he moved to Waterford, N. Y., where he
learned the trade of machinist, and followed it in various portions of the State. In 1866 he came to Chicago and
has since been in the employ of the above company. In 1874 he located his home at River Forest, and was for seven
years a member of the school board of that district, and has for the past year filled the office of police magistrate
of the village.
