RALPH EMORY PECK, M. D.
After a prominent and successful career as a physician and surgeon, Dr. Ralph Emory Peck is now retired from the
active practice of his profession and is living at his comfortable and attractive home in Green valley, Solano
county, caring for his fine cherry orchard there. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on the 7th of April, 1871, and
is a son of Morris and Emmaline (Bevis) Peck, the former of whom is a highly educated man and has had a long and
successful career as a druggist, also enjoying a high reputation as an expert accountant.
Ralph E. Peck received his elementary education in the public and high schools of his native city. He had become
interested in the medical profession as a life work and to that end matriculated in the Cooper Medical College,
in San Francisco, from which he was graduated in 1898 with the degree of Doctor. of Medicine. During the ensuing
years until 1906 he acted as an instructor in his alma mater, being actively engaged in the practice of his profession
at the same time. In 1906 he located at Winters, where he enjoyed a large and lucrative patronage until 1921, when,
having accumulated a competency, he retired from active practice and came to Green valley, where he bought his
present finely located and delightful home, and here he is enjoying a well earned rest from professional activities.
Dr. Peck was married to Miss Clara M. Apsey. He is public spirited as regards the welfare of the community, and
while a resident of Winters he rendered effective service as a member of the town board of trustees. Politically,
he gives his support to the republican party. He has for years been a member of the Solano County Medical Society,
the San Francisco County Medical Society and the California State Medical Society.
