JOHN P. LYNCH.
Ambition and perseverance may well be said to form the keynote to the character of John P. Lynch, a substantial
and favorably known farmer of Green valley and one of Solano county's representative citizens. He was born on the
4th of March, 1869, on the old homestead where he now lives, and is a son of Thomas and Mary (Maloney) Lynch. The
father came as a boy to this locality and resided here for seventy years, living on the present farm for some sixty
years. The mother came to California in her girlhood and was married at Marysville. John P. Lynch received his
education in the public schools of Cordelia and then for a time was employed on other ranches of the neighborhood.
Upon the death of his father he returned to the home farm and assisted his mother in looking after the place, and
on the latter's death he took over the ranch and has operated it to the present time. The farm comprises eighty
seven acres of fine land, which is devoted mainly to the raising of fruit, hay and live stock. Mr. Lynch is a thoroughly
practical farmer and has applied himself very closely to his business affairs, being now in an independent position
and very comfortably situated.
Mr. Lynch was married to Miss Alice Hutchinson, who was born and reared in Suisun, and they are the parents of
three children, Alice, Jack and Ember. Mr. Lynch's political support is given to the democratic party. He possesses
a pleasant disposition and enjoys the companionship of many friends.
