HERMAN W. FAIG.
Herman W. Faig, one of the best known of the younger merchants of the city of Vallejo, a dealer in general electrical
supplies, radio equipment and the like, is a native son of California, born at Sacramento on July 7, 1896. He had
his schooling in the public schools of that city and when fifteen years of age took up electricity and electrical
engineering as a life vocation. Entering the establishment of the Electrical Supply Company of Sacramento he gave
himself seriously to the mastery of the details of that business and was connected with the operations of that
firm for ten years. In 1925 Mr. Faig bought out this business.
In 1920, with a view to becoming engaged in business on his own account, Mr. Faig came to Vallejo and bought the
old established store and plant of the Watkins Electrical Supply Company of Vallejo and has since been carrying
on that business, with a well equipped and admirably appointed establishment at 323 Georgia street, where he is
prepared to take care of all demands made on him in this line throughout the fine trade area centering at Vallejo.
In addition to carrying in stock a complete line of electrical supplies, including a fine layout of radio equipment,
Mr. Faig is a general contractor in electrical wiring and is doing very well, having become firmly established
in the mercantile life of the city.
On May 20, 1919, at Sacramento, Herman W. Faig was united in marriage to Miss Oreon Godfrey, who also was born
in that city, and they have one child, a daughter, Oreon. Mr. and Mrs. Faig have a pleasant home at Vallejo and
since taking up their residence there have made many friends who have gladly welcomed them to the city.
