JEFFERSON E. PEYSER
Not only has Jefferson E. Peyser made a most commendable reputation as a practicing lawyer within comparatively
few years, but he is the youngest man ever elected to the position of supervisor of San Francisco city and county.
He has his offices at 621 Mills building in this city.
Mr. Peyser was born in San Francisco, California, November 14, 1899, and is a son of Dave and Gussie (Baer) Peyser.
He attended the grade schools and the Lowell high school, and then took up his advanced studies at the University
of California, from which institution he received the degree of Bachelor of Arts in 1921. Having decided upon the
law as his life's work, he began his professional studies at the same university, and in 1923 was given his degree
of Doctor of Jurisprudence. He was admitted to the California state bar during the same year, and immediately started
in general practice in San Francisco, where he has met with pronounced success. On November 5, 1929, Mr. Peyser
was elected as a supervisor of San Francisco city and county on the republican ticket, and took office January
6, 1930, for a four year term.
On June 17, 1928, Mr. Peyser was united in marriage to Miss Marguerite Kutner, a native of San Francisco, and a
daughter of Louis and Bertha Kutner. They reside at 2001 California street in this city.
