WILBER R. SNOW.
Wilber R. Snow, proprietor of the Electric garage and local Ford dealer at Calistoga, was born at Weiser, Idaho, on the 29th of December, 1889. He received his elementary education in the public schools of his home neighborhood and then, in 1909, he came to Oakland, California, and took the course in electrical ergineering at the Polytechnic Engineering College, from which he was graduated in 1912. Following this, Mr. Snow came to Napa and entered the employ of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company, with which he was connected when the United States entered the World war. He enlisted for service and was assigned to the submarine chasing division as machinist's mate and designer, and he was first stationed at San Pedro, California, later being transferred to Pelham bay, New York. From there he was sent overseas and was stationed at the United States naval base at Plymouth, England. On his return to civil life, Mr. Snow became a traveling salesman for the California Glue Company, with which he remained until 1922, when he came to Calistoga and bought the Ford agency and Electric garage. This garage is unquestionably one of the finest and most completely equipped in the state of California, comparing favorably with any in even the larger cities. The main garage is eighty by one hundred and twenty feet in size, in addition to which there is a repair shop forty five feet square. The shop is equipped with every facility for quick and perfect work, and Mr. Snow has established a record for reliability and trustworthiness.

Since coming to Calistoga Mr. Snow has taken a good citizen's interest in the civic affairs of his community, and his earnest support is given to every movement for the improvement of the city. He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and is a charter member of the Rotary Club, while fraternally he is a member and a past exalted ruler of Napa Lodge No. 832, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks. He was married to Miss Delpha Switzer, who was born and reared in Napa.
