LAURENCE C. MIGLIAVACCA.
The true western spirit of progress and enterprise is strikingly exemplified in the lives of such men as Laurence
C. Migliavacca, of Yountville, one of Napa county's honored native sons, whose energetic nature and laudable ambition
enabled him to achieve distinctive success, so that he is now numbered among the representative men of his section
of the county. He was born in Napa on the 6th of December, 1880, and is a son of G. and Madaline Migliavacca. He
attended the public schools of Napa and then took a course in the Napa Business College, from which he was graduated.
Mr. Migliavacca subsequently engaged in the wholesale wine business in Napa and through his energetic business
methods and close attention to details achieved a very gratifying degree of success. He has long been numbered
among the solid and substantial citizens of his locality and in business circles his judgment is held in high regard.
He is now living at Yountville, where he owns one of the most attractive and comfortable homes in the Napa valley,
and here he is enjoying life in the fullest measure.
Mr. Migliavacca was married to Miss Hazel H. Gibbs, who was born and reared in St. Helena, Napa county, gaining
her education in the public and high schools of that city. They are the parents of a son, Laurence C., Jr. Fraternally
Mr. Migliavacca is a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks and the Native Sons of the Golden West.
He is very fond of outdoor life, fishing and hunting being his favorite diversions, and he takes a commendable
interest in the welfare of his community, giving his cooperative support to all movements designed to advance the
public interests. He is highly regarded because of his splendid personality, business ability, public spirit and
