He was surgeon for the Southern Pacific railroad and for the San Francisco, Napa & Calistoga Electric railroad, as well as county physician for Napa county. During the World war he was a member of the Napa county exemption board. He prospered in his financial affairs and was the owner of a highly cultivated and productive prune ranch in the Napa valley, as well as valuable real estate in Napa city. Able and efficient as a physician and surgeon, he also possessed to a marked degree the essential elements of good citizenship, and few men in Napa county have held a higher place in the respect and esteem of the public.

He has proven himself an able and capable official, and he is held in high regard in the community where he has spent practically his entire life. Mr. Hennessey is in close touch with the various phases of community life and gives his earnest support. to all measures for the advancement of the public welfare.
