THOMAS F. CAMP.
Although comparatively still a young man, Thomas F. Camp, who is the efficient superintendent for the Napa Fruit Company, has demonstrated qualities of character and business ability of a high order. For several years he has been holding positions of trust and responsibility, and he stands deservedly high in the esteem and confidence of all who know him.

Mr. Camp was born in Chicago, Illinois, on the 24th of January, 1899, and in 1902, when he was but three years of age, he was brought by his parents to Los Angeles, California. He attended the grammar and high schools of that city and then, being ambitious to equip himself for a business career, took extension business courses with the University of California and the Alexander Hamilton Institute His first employment was on the Langdon fruit ranch, in the Suisun valley, Solano county, where he learned the details of the cultivation, growth and handling of fruit by the growers. He then entered the employ of the California Peach Growers Association in Suisun, with which he remained for four years. Subsequently he became an inspector for the Prune Growers Association, being at that time only nineteen years old and the youngest man in the state of California to hold so responsible a position. In 1919 Mr. Camp came to Napa as inspector for the Prune Growers Association, which position he held for two years, and he then was appointed superintendent for the Napa Fruit Company, in which capacity he still continues, being also the youngest man in the state to hold such a position.

An energetic and industrious man, Mr. Camp does well whatever he undertakes, and he has shown himself capable and judicious in whatever position he has been placed. Since coming to Napa he has gained a high standing in the esteem of the community and is numbered among the popular residents of this locality. Mr. Camp is a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks and the Napa Kiwanis Club. He was married to Miss Agnes Pelendini, who was born and reared in this city.
