Neil Mclsaacs. Born in Nova Scotia, August 8, 1842. At the age of sixteen years he commenced life as a sailor,
and for four years followed this occupation. In 1862 he seceded from that business and went to Pennsylvania, where
for two years he worked in the coal mines of that State. He next enlisted in the army, and after serving four years
was honorably discharged; he then emigrated to California via Panama, arriving at San Francisco August 4, 1865;
he next came to Marin county and resided in Tomales for two years. Is employed in the dairying business. Married
June 9, 1869, Kate Linaban, by whom he has Don D., Hugh J.; Flora R., and Evalena.
