Elisha Light. Born in Delaware county, New York, August 9, 1823. He resided in his native county, and was there
educated, until he emigrated to California, arriving in San Francisco, September 7, 1850. He at once proceeded
to the mines on American river, and there sojourned for three years, when he returned to the East, but in the month
of April returned, came to Margin county and settled on Tomales bay, near the residence of Mr. Prince. Thence he
moved to Petaluma, there keeping the Petaluma House for one year, after which he located on his present ranch consisting
of four hundred acres of land. Married Emily Brasier, November 7, 1848, by whom he has four girls and three boys.
