BOND, HENRY. Was born in England March 12, 1832. In 1848 he immigrated to New York and engaged in farming until
1854, when he came via Nicaragua to California, and arrived at San Francisco April 1st of the above year. Mr. Bond
went at once to Mormon Island, where he followed mining for three years. In 1859 he came to Lake County and located
in Coyote Valley, where he followed stock raising until 1860, when he settled on his present place, consisting
of one thousand acres, located in Morgan Valley, where he is engaged in stock raising and wool growing. He was
married, June 20, 1860, to Miss Martha Capps, by whom he has two children: John and Joseph. He married secondly,
February 21, 1871, Miss Mary Gentry. By this marriage there are four children: Mary, Frank, Math and Maud I.
