GEORGE WALTER SCHUTE, Judge of the Superior Court of Gila County, was a practicing attorney for a number of
years, and served as District Attorney before he was elected to his present position. Judge Schute was educated
in the public schools of the State, and was graduated from the Tempe Normal, standing well in his class. After
his admission to the bar, he was soon recognized as an able attorney. and established a reputation as a criminal
lawyer, which made him a strong candidate for the position of District Attorney. He defeated one of the strongest
attorneys in the county, and made such an excellent official, that he easily won in the primaries and the election.
As a Judge he has been fair and impartial, and litigants and attorneys speak highly of the manner in which he has
conducted his court.
