LOX MASON, member of the Board from Cottonwood, was born in Missouri in 1869, and is the son of Theophilus Mason,
a Confederate veteran from his native State. Kentucky, and Lydia Spiller Mason. For more than a score of years
Mr. Mason has been actively identified with the development of the State, especially in the Verde Valley. At the
recent election he was one of the strong candidates of the ticket, and polled the highest vote of the candidates
for Supervisor. He was formerly a cattle man. but at present is engaged in farming. Like the other members of the
Board, he brings to the office a wealth of information regarding Yavapai and the conditions therein, and his experiences
have been of valuable assistance in the direction of county affairs. He has been in Arizona since 1889, when he
came to Flagstaff. He was married in 1911 to Mrs. May Askew, and has one daughter. He is a member of the Masons
and B. P. O. E.
