HARRY W. HEAP, member of the Board of Supervisors of Yavapai County, is among the best known business men in
the State, having been connected with important industries in Phoenix and Prescott during the past score of years.
He was born in California in 1876. and was educated in that State. He came to Phoenix twenty years ago and built
the Phoenix Railway, and for twelve years managed the property, placing it on a firm basis. He was also builder
and managet of the Phoenix Water Company, and was identified with a number of the strong financial institutions.
On going to Prescott, he organized the Yavapai County Savings Bank, and for two years was Treasurer of the same.
He has also been actively identified with the mining industry, and at present is Secretary of the Lilian Gold &
Copper Company. Mr. Heap takes a prominent part in politics, and at present is City Councilman of Prescott. Being
a Republican, he is the minority member of the Board of Supervisors, but his advice and influence are always given
full consideration by his colleagues on the Board. Mr. Heap is also well known in fraternal circles, being a member
of the Masonic and Knights of Pythias lodges. He married Miss Helen Wells, daughter of Judge Ed W. Wells, and they
have two sons, Wells and Joe. Mr. and Mrs. Heap take a prominent part in the social life of their home town.
