Arizona Biographies

ALEXANDER B. BAKER, attorney at law, junior member of the firm of Baker & Baker, of Phoenix, was born in that city May 23, 1889, and is the son of Albert Cornelius and Mary J. Alexander Baker. Mr. Baker was educated in the public schools of Phoenix, and after being graduated from the high school, began the study of law in the office of his father, with whom he is now associated. Shortly afterward he took up the study of law in the University of Michigan, from which he was graduated in 1910, immediately thereafter was admitted to practice in Arizona and entered his father's office as partner. Mr. Baker is very well known among the younger attorneys and coming of a line of able attorneys who reached the pinnacle of honor in their profession, he seems destined to follow in their footsteps and to become one of Arizona's foremost attorneys. His father, Honorable A. C. Baker, was at one time Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Arizona. Mr. Baker is a member of the Knights of Columbus, among whom he is very active, and holds the office of lecturer.
